The iconic Beverly Hills Hotel signature script was the creation of the African American architect Paul Revere Williams. In addition to the creation of the hotel script in his own handwriting, in the 1940’s Mr. Williams was responsible for designing the Crescent Wing of The Beverly Hills Hotel. He was also responsible for the redesign of the Polo Lounge, Fountain Coffee Room and the pink and green motif.
Mr. Williams was born in 1894 in Los Angeles, California. During his amazing career Mr. Williams designed homes for celebrities as well as public and private buildings. Mr. Williams became the first African American member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 1923.
One of the many things Amsterdam is known for is its use of bicycles. Unfortunately, many of these bicycles end up in the surrounding water. During our walk back to our hotel in Amsterdam we noticed a cluster of bicycles that had been pulled from the water. The bicycles contained brownish patches of rust.

I could not help but to take a picture. The pile of bicycles looked like a work of art!
One of our most magical travel moments was cruising on the English Channel. The English Channel is the arm of the Atlantic Ocean between France and Great Britain. The water was so calm it felt like we were floating!

There ain’t no gold in this river
That I have been washing my hands in forever
I know there is hope in these waters
But I can’t bring myself to swim
When I am drowning in this silence
Baby, let me in
Go easy on me, baby
I was still a child
Didn’t get the chance to
Feel the world around me
I had no time to choose what I chose to do
So go easy on me
There ain’t no room for our things to change
When we are both so deeply stuck in our ways
You can’t deny how hard I’ve tried
I changed who I was to put you both first
But now I give up
Go easy on me, baby
I was still a child
Didn’t get the chance to
Feel the world around me
Had no time to choose what I chose to do
So go easy on me
I had good intentions
And the highest hopes
But I know right now
It probably doesn’t even show
Go easy on me, baby
I was still a child
I didn’t get the chance to
Feel the world around me
I had no time to choose what I chose to do
So go easy on me
