Last Saturday night, we were out and about in Washington and made a stop at the National Christmas Tree directly behind the White House. The 94th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting took place on Thursday, December 1st, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama lit the National Christmas Tree for the last time as president and first lady. It was such an amazing sight!

Sightseeing Tours
Every traveler has their own unique way of exploring a new country and/or city. Hop On Hop Off Sightseeing Tours allows the traveler to explore a city at their own pace, personal earphones are normally provided to hear recorded commentary of sites while targeting tourist attractions of the city you are visiting. I have found these types of tours interesting. The open top double decker buses have provided me with unique angles for photos during my travels in Rome, Chicago, Málaga, London, Paris, Miami, Corsica, Los Angeles, etc. In some cases, I have discovered information on cities that I would have never known before!

We arrived in New Orleans late on Friday evening. Our first stop early Saturday morning was Café du Monde for coffee and beignets! The beignets were served hot with plenty of powdered sugar. The powdered sugar tended to be a little messy but certainly delicious. I noticed that some customers were actually eating the powdered sugar after they finished their beignets, it was that good!
