Macy’s Front Row

22 September, 2015 (11:06) | Fashion, Fashion Designers

On the last evening of New York Fashion Week, I had the opportunity to attend the taping of Macy’s Front Row. A fashion show with performances by Nate Ruess and Jason Derulo with a surprise performance at the end by the Village People. Hosted by Brad Goreski and Giuliana Rancic with ticket sales benefiting two charities: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Council of Fashion Designers of America Foundation.

I had the chance to record segments of the taping which we compiled into a four minute clip below. The clip include portions of the fashions of Tommy Hilfiger, Sean John, Hello Kitty and Jessica Simpson. The taping of Macy’s Front Row was upbeat that I found myself dancing to the music while recording. One of the most enjoyable moments of the night was when Brad Goreski, dressed in a beautiful gold jacket, danced his way down the aisle directly in front of us. It was truly an amazing evening for charity! Macy’s Front Row will air on E! Entertainment Television.

Relaxing Caribbean Views

17 August, 2015 (05:10) | Caribbean Travel, Cruise Info, Vacation Ideas

Anyone who has ever taken a cruise knows how small the bathrooms can be. One of the best qualities of the villa stateroom is the luxurious master bath. There is one word that best describes it “amazing”! The view of the sea from the master bath is breathtaking. Who wouldn’t love waking up to a view of the Caribbean in the morning? Or to soak in a bubble bath with sunset views of the Caribbean Sea after a long day of sightseeing? I feel very fortunate to have experienced both!

Ford’s Theatre (Washington, DC)

6 July, 2015 (05:50) | North America, Vacation Ideas

Whenever we’re in Washington, DC, we make it a point to visit an historical site. Recently we toured the historic Ford’s Theatre. The site of the assassination of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865. The Ford’s Theatre Museum, traces President Lincoln from his arrival to Washington until his death. The museum also contains rare artifacts related to his assassination. After touring the museum, we went upstairs to visit the theatre where we were able to take a picture (see below) of the actual Presidential Box where President Lincoln was seated at the time of his assassination.

Washington, DC is a reminder of the extraordinary history of the United States!

Corner Bakery Café

29 June, 2015 (05:30) | Cuisine, North America

Last week, we at Scenic Runway attended a Media Tasting Event at the Corner Bakery Café in Arlington, Virginia, a short distance from Washington, DC for their new “Grilled Flats” menu. The decision to have the event in their outdoor sitting area on a beautiful summer morning was an excellent idea. The casual relaxed environment was a great place to enjoy the new UnFlat Menu. Prior to the event, I had been a guest at several Corner Bakery Café locations in Washington, DC and downtown Chicago. On each occasion in addition to the delicious food, the staff has always been very welcoming. It’s the feeling you get when someone welcomes you into their home.

Food on Travel

1 June, 2015 (07:09) | Cuisine, Lifestyle, Vacation Ideas

Food is always an important part of travel! On a recent trip to Montauk, NY in The Hamptons , we had dinner at a local restaurant. I always try to sample food that I’ve never had before when I travel. On this trip it was “Korean Fried Chicken”. It was a little spicy but tender and delicious!
